Step into the spotlight and sing your heart out at our Queer Musical Theatre Karaoke night. Where the drama is big, the notes are higher, and everyone gets a standing ovation.
Whether you’re channeling Hedwig’s defiance, belting out a Cabaret classic, or giving a campy, over-the-top rendition of your favorite showstopper, to prove that you are who you are! Expect an inclusive, joy-filled atmosphere where queerness and musical theatre collide in the best possible way.
No judgment, no pressure just a room full of people who know every lyric, love a key change, and believe that life is better with a little choreography (optional, but encouraged).
Bring your friends, your chosen family, or just your inner diva. Costumes? Absolutely welcome. Emotional ballads? Encouraged. Dramatic exits? Practically required.

*kind of musical is a non-professional, English-speaking musical group based in Berlin. The team consists of seasoned performers and creatives as well as newcomers taking their first steps in a musical theater production. After their successful debut production “The Guy Who Didn’t Like Musicals” in 2025, they are thrilled to return to the stage with the satire “Urinetown”, October 2-4 and 8-10 at Theatre Pool, Friedrichshain.
At this Queer Musical Theatre Karaoke, kind of musical cast and crew members will be taking the stage to entertain you, and we welcome any passionate singers to join us – regardless of experience level.
